IN BETWEEN
‘Alice found that, not knowing how, she was on top of the mantle piece and the mirror she had in her hands it was being dissolved, disintegrating between her hands, as it was a silver and bright mist’
Lewis Carroll, Alice through the looking glass.
‘In between’ is an approximation to the complex characteristics of identity in the transition from being a child to becoming a teenager. It is the space in which we submerged in one of the deeper moments of change in our existence. I explore this transformation from my connexion with Kiana, my niece, investigating the line that joins her internal world with the external.
